Step aside prismatic amethyst, there’s a new kid on the block. The Diamond Dust highlight from Laura Geller has to be one of the most beautiful and magical highlighters I have seen out there. The pearly silver tones mixed with hints of pink and purple are something of pure beauty when applied onto the cheekbones. Don’t get me wrong, the prismatic, light-reflecting effect is very similar to the Becca prismatic amethyst but the elements of pink and silver give it that extra something which may even take the number one spot in my highlighter list.
I already own a pigment from the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator collection, Charming Pink. I loved the formula and the way it applied to my skin but the pink tones of Charming Pink do provide a more natural glow. The likes of Diamond Dust and Prismatic Amethyst give a more magical, ethereal glow against the light which I totally love against my pale skin and silver toned hair. The highlight stays there all day, even gaining compliments at my gym class at 5:30pm after having been applied at 07:30am… that’s a good 10 hours of lasting application! The way that the Laura Geller ranges are baked means the consistency is very creamy and so easy to apply without over-doing it. As I said about Charming Pink, you can really keep the colour subtle and minimal, or you can really build it up for a solid unicorn glow.
This stunning, holographic white highlight has definitely become a staple in my daily make-up look. For the bargain price of £25.50 (with a brush through QVC!!), I definitely would recommend this to anyone who is looking or saving up for a highlighter similar to that of Prismatic Amethyst… or even if you loved the violet, unicorn tones of Prismatic Amethyst, give Diamond Dust a go as I am sure you will love it as much as I have.
