I feel like recently I have been falling further and further in love with the Laura Geller make-up range and my newest addition to my collection is the Laura Geller Spackle Primer. I am always on the hunt for the “perfect primer” and, in all honesty, I don’t really know what I am looking for. All I know is that my make-up doesn’t feel right without a primer!
The Primer Journey
I used to use the Benefit Porefessional which is superb; however,it is really pricey considering the amount that you get! I would find myself barely wanting to use any each day, so that my primer would last longer (value for money and all that!). I then switched the the Bare Minerals primer which I adored and was my complete number 1 primer. I mostly used the Bare Minerals primer because it was always included in QVC “today’s special value” so it was always an absolute bargain… this leads nicely onto how I ended up switching to the Laura Geller Spackle Primer. I recently ran out of my Laura Geller Balance n Brighten powder and knew I needed to stock up so I browsed the QVC site. Immediately, I spotted the best deal in the form of Laura Geller 3 Piece Supercharged Essentials where you would get the Balance & Brighten, the Spackle Primer and a lipstick for £34… BARGAIN! Honestly, I cannot recommend and rave about QVC enough… I am forever getting absolute bargains on buying more than one make-up item when necessary. I managed to restock my Balance n Brighten and try out a new primer for pretty much the retail price of the Balance & Brighten alone *breathe*.
The Spackle Primer review
So, “what is the primer like?!” I hear you shout. It is gorgeous to apply and has a lovely texture. I find that the skin tone colour already helps freshen my face ahead of my concealer/foundation and it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. Sometimes, I find that the transparent gel primers make my face feel a bit “gooey” and this just makes my face feel like heaven. I also have found a real change in the durability of my make-up from the primer. My skin stays perfect all day. The primer also boasts nourishing ingredients such as a supercharged boost of botanicals, including reservatrol, beet root extract, centella asiatica and white tea extract… I don’t know what that means but it sure does sound good to me! 🙂 … and the proof is in the pudding because this primer is pretty much perfect.
