Yes, I am sure you have seen this renowned Too Faced chocolate palette doing the rounds on pretty much every beauty bloggers blog. With the visuals and “hype” of this palette circling around everywhere, I just knew I had to try it so I added it to my Christmas 2016 list and awaited (with excitement) to receive it.
The shades in the Too Faced chocolate palette themselves are so gorgeous and “neautrally” wearable. I definitely find myself reaching to use this palette for my everyday, work eyeshadow look. The range of browns towards pinks and even some darker purple shades is something really unique to my collection. They also all work perfectly together, which is always a good thing! As for the formula, it is apparently made with real cocoa powder which MUST give it it’s signature smell. I mean, whenever I open, I am submersed back into the 00s where they had those “chocolate teddy bear toys”… does anyone remember them or is it just me?!
The pigmentation is absolutely fabulous. The longer white shade at the top is the perfect base to all of my eye make-up looks. It really brightens and solidifies the colours you put on top. As for the blending, they all blend perfectly to create a subtle look which I am just in love with. However, I don’t know if you can see in the above photos all of the powder on the side of the palette after use… I don’t know if this is a reason as to why it’s so pigmented, but it definitely is picked up so easily by the brush and can kinda go a bit everywhere…
All be it not my favourite palette in my collection (Tarte still holds the number one spot in my heart), it’s a solid neutral palette which, as I said, I reach for on a regular basis. I actually think the price point is a bit high and I would actually not repurchase another palette from Too Faced just because of the amount of product which lifts from the palette when you’re applying… it can be quite a waste and on the shimmery shades, it definitely suffers from a fall out problem.
What do you think of the Too Faced palettes?
