Review of the Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay PRO Palette

A while ago, I bought my first palette from Tarte Cosmetics (the Energy Noir palette) and I have to admit it has remained a firm favourite palette of mine. The shadows are so pigmented and easy to blend that I honestly haven’t yet found a palette that quite rivals the ones from Tarte.

When I saw the Tarte 20 piece PRO amazonian clay eyeshadow palette on QVC, you can imagine my excitement (and need) to have it. Conveniently enough, my birthday was coming up so I kindly requested it from my parents and awaited receiving it. The palette comes with 20 different eyeshadow shades and they are placed in rows which all work together. For example, the colours on the top row all work perfectly for one eye look. This makes it so easy to use for newbie eyeshadow users as you don’t have to work out for yourself which colour can go in the crease or which colour should go on your lid… it’s literally laid out for you in the palette! As for the colours, I personally think they’re so gorgeous and unlike any other colour in my vast collection of palettes. I don’t know about anyone else, but sometimes I feel like the nude/everyday palettes always recycle the same old nudes and coppers so it’s great to have some variety with the purples and plums present in this palette.

The eyeshadows themselves are so pigmented and blend gorgeously which makes them a joy to use. I have to say, the fallout in this palette is a lot more than the Energy Noir which is slightly disappointing but isn’t a reason not to love the shadows! Also, I swear to you now, these eyeshadows smell so close to the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. For a second, I thought I was imagining it but I smelt them both and the scent is really similar! A nice touch, I think 🙂 The palette itself is also a thing of beauty. I love the sleek matte black lid which opens up to a huge, handy mirror. The QVC deal we bought also meant we got a free blending brush which was great to add to my collection. The brush is very soft and works wonders for blending out the crease.

Overall, I am so impressed with this palette and can once again say that I am firmly head over heels in love with the Tarte Cosmetics brand.
