When Boohoo approached me to take part in their Bloggers X Dress Of The Month campaign, I pretty much jumped at the chance. Their campaign was to send a secret dress out to several bloggers to see how it could be worn to meet individual body types and personal styles. Ii had to pick one of three colours: silver, khaki or copper. I chose silver as I thought it would be most adaptable to my personal style… being such a fan of monochrome colours. I won’t lie, the dress being a mystery was a tad nerve-wracking as my body type doesn’t exactly suit every single style of dress. Anything too long completely swamps my stubby legs and I have quite a curvy body shape so, equally, shift dresses usually make me look like a potato. However, Boohoo really are nailing dresses at the moment so I knew I was in safe hands.

As soon as it arrived, the satin fabric made me gasp a little bit as I could just picture it clinging to every lump and bump possible. However, I tried it on and was actually pleasantly surprised as to how it looked on. The Karlie Satin Wrap Shirt Dress is bang on trend and I was in love. The tie waist allowed me to nip the dress in which did wonders for my body shape. The length was perfect as it was shorter at the front with a slightly longer back which did look flattering. I add, I also gasped at the colour; a beautiful, metallic silver that I can just see myself wearing over and over again in the Winter months. Metallics at Christmas are kinda a given thing, right?

For styling the dress, I went with a more evening cocktails with the girls look. I finally caved and recently purchased some thigh high boots which I knew straight away I wanted to pair with this dress. I then figured it would go well with my leather jacket and new Skinny Dip bag. The Skinny Dip bag as a keyring attached which matched perfectly with the silver metallic hue of the dress. The black and silver goes perfectly together and I am definitely going to wear this look out on several occasions over the Christmas period. It is so comfortable and makes me feel fantastic!

I am definitely thrilled Boohoo approached me to take part in the Bloggers X Dress Of The Month campaign as it challenged my usual choice of dress. I have to admit, if I had seen the dress on their site myself, I would never have thought to purchase it as I would’ve assumed it wouldn’t suit me. It just goes to show that sometimes you can push the boat out and try new styles 🙂

How would you have styled this mystery dress?
