This Brightening Blonde kit from Label.M was kindly sent to me to review for all of you. As a blonde, I find it so hard to keep my blonde hair bright and not yellow. Thankfully, the beauty and hair industry are well on top of this with the endless amounts of purple shampoos and blonde shampoos on the market. I am a big fan of purple shampoos and have personally found the Bleach London one to be my ultimate go-to for when I feel my hair has taken a brassy turn for the worse.
Despite being a sworn purple shampoo user for my blonde locks, I was more than keen to receive and try the Brightening Blonde kit from Label.M as I am a huge fan of theirs. My hairdressers swear by Label.M and I am forever oohing and ahhing at the gorgeous products that go in my hair from Label.Mm at the hairdressers. A constant repurchase of mine is the glorious texturising volume spray which is just my holy grail of hair products. Anyway, I am going off track. This Brightening Blonde kit from Label.M includes a shampoo, conditioner and a balm which supposedly is where the true brightening wonder lies. With the kit, I also received a gorgeous tote bag designed by British Fashion Designer Jean-Pierre Braganza incorporating his dynamic graphic print taken from the ‘Whiplash’ collection. The tote bag alone is such a gift to receive as it is eye-catching and so unique – I use it as a bag to take to work to carry my gym kit and other stuff in!
I have first got to use the shampoo, conditioner and balm this week and I was actually quite surprised by the colour of the product. Usually, products which boast brightening your blonde are of the purple variety as it is the opposite colour on the colour wheel. I guess because this product is not a combat against brassy tones, and rather a brightening and illuminating product, this does not have to follow the purple formula. Whilst my immediate reaction to the products was not one of “less yellow”, my hair most definitely felt softer and shinier – oh and it smelt glorious. Being infused with Mamaki Tea, Hops, White Pineapple, Star Fruit and Custard Apple, it is no wonder my hair felt so nourished and shiny as these are all gorgeous ingredients to put on your hair. Most notably, Mamaki Tea is praised for being a “colour guardian” and Hops is a notorious shine booster! My hair most definitely felt indulged after these products. As the bottle says, my hair felt moisturised and nourished which is all you can ask for from a shampoo and conditioner.
The intention of these products are not to eliminate brass like your trusty purple shampoos; I think the Brightening Blonde kit, instead, focuses on revitalising your blonde and really making it feel healthy and shiny. From bleaching my hair, it can definitely begin to feel dry and lifeless and this kit is really aiding my blonde to feel a lot more healthy and a lot more full. The balm also is the perfect nourishing finish to my hair routine.
