I seem to keep starting every favourites post by exclaiming where the month went but, seriously, how quickly is 2016 going; we are officially half way through it and I do not know how to feel about it. At my work, we are already talking about Christmas and I feel like that was yesterday! Moving on swiftly (just like this year – gasp!), my favourites this month are once again varied like the previous month of April.
Pop Funko – Daenerys
As you would have seen on my previous favourites, I have begun collecting the Pop Funko figurines and recently I received (from my lovely boyfriend) my very own Daenerys. You all may well know that Game of Thrones is currently graving our tv screens which I have been absolutely loving; it was actually off the back of a very poignant “Daenerys moment” in this series that my boyfriend decided to gift me with the figurine – I think he got the message from my enthusiastic tweets that I was in love with her. This Pop Funko is beyond adorable and is definitely a firm favourite of the month. I cannot get over the little dragon on her arm and I love that it is a proper throwback to the first/second series when Daenerys was truly badass; not that she isn’t now but her storyline did slow down for a bit.
Just like any other blogger, I am a teeny bit obsessed with stationery. So, what better excuse to stock up on stationery than a new job? Paperchase is always my number one port of call for anything diary, journal or pen related – it is literally like stationery heaven on earth. Having had a browse around the store, and online, I was set on a few items from their “tropical”ish range decorated with trees, plants and parrots – fabulous. My gorgeous blue notebook is adorned with lovely, minimalist seashells and the binding is covered in a lovely silver sheen. I then purchased some accompanying pens as I am very fussy with pens and how they write; the pens were a bit harder to choose but I went with the tropical ones as they looked nice and sturdy and came in a set of two (blue and black) for only £2.50. I then decided to get some matching sticky notes because when do you not need sticky notes in your life?
Jeepers Peepers Glasses
I will admit that these are not prescription glasses and were only purchased with the intention to wear with screens and when blogging. I had been finding that constantly staring at a screen was giving me headaches so I decided to give these a try. They have done me some favours which I am really pleased with and they are good for now until I get back to the opticians to see what is needed. I also love the style and how they look; that might be shallow of me but it is about style as well as function with glasses – they are on your face after all! To be honest, they do make me feel better as well when I am having a “sluggy” blogging day with no make-up as they make me feel a little bit more presented and ready to work.
Pink Peppermint Foot Lotion
I am so sure that I have mentioned this in a previous favourites but honestly, it deserves repeating. This lotion is so soothing on my feet and makes them feel so much better. With the start at work, and the introduction of heels into my daily life, my feet have been needing some TLC and this lotion has been resolving all of my issues. It smells so refreshing and feels so cooling and soothing that I have found myself massaging it into my feet pretty much every night – I have an addiction.
